It was so sweet to see kids bring in their field trip forms. Last week was pretty hectic and the forms went out before we got to talk about the trip. As I said earlier, we are combining the fees for the next three field trips. I hope that makes it easier than finding the cash at home, one at a time..
One of the field trips is a trip to the Portland Center for the Performing Arts. We'll see the play, Ramona Quimby. What fun to see a dramatization of a beloved book by Portland's own Beverly Cleary.
The trip to the Moda Center is super fun and will include a trip to the Blazer locker room. In the past, kids have gotten to take their photo in front of their favorite Blazer's gear. We'll visit a Sky Box and get close to the court. It is a great way to see how our city enjoys sports! I'll need at least 4 parents to come with us. Let me know if you can come with us.
The other field trip is a Walking Tour of Old Town and Downtown Portland.
All these trips support our Social Studies Unit on the City of Portland, past, present and future.
